20+ years of celebrating hero culture!
It all started with a website in 2002
In 2002 Japan Hero was launched as a simple website to catalog tokusatsu hero, super robot, and anime hero programs.
Over time the website grew and a fantastic community of fans gathered to talk about the latest episodes, share links to various resources, and have fun discussions on the rich history of these programs and their characters.
Then around 2008 the website went dormant, eventually going offline.
Japan Hero's Return as a YouTube Channel
On October 24th, 2020 Japan Hero returned in the form of a YouTube Channel. While its format changed, its mission remained the same. This would be a place to celebrate Japan's tokusatsu heroes, super robots, and anime hero programs.
Four years since our return as a YouTube channel, close to a hundred episodes have been published, documenting and celebrating the history of these programs.
